1998 — THE BONUS ROUND premieres in New York City as a play, written by Hal Cantor and directed by Bobby Cronin — the start of a creative partnership built on a shared love of game shows.

YEARS SINCE — Hal and Bobby develop THE BONUS ROUND into a full musical, built around the hits of the late 1970s — reimagining Graham Gold's story with a score that does more than decorate the action.

2025 — A wildly successful table read in New York proves the material. Jeff Skowron (Broadway: THE LION KING, ENRON, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) and Anne Brummel (Broadway: WICKED; National Tour: EVITA) lead the room as the hilariously dueling husband and wife, Marty and Trudy.

2026 — Nick Finlow (Musical Supervisor, BACK TO THE FUTURE worldwide, THE BOOK OF MORMON London) joins the team. Music licensing research begins in earnest across all 61 songs.

NEXT — A backers' audition to bring THE BONUS ROUND in front of investors and industry partners, followed by a regional tryout on the road to Broadway.
